As a small, women-owned business, we curate our inventory intentionally. Our goal is not to be a big brand, instead we want to meet the needs of the women who genuinely love our product. While we aim to offer a well-stocked array of colors and patterns in sizes small to 3X, inventory fluctuations and limited overstock may mean not all patterns are available in all sizes. Restocking is not guaranteed, so it's recommended to get your favorite patterns while they are available.
Washing Instructions

Color Disclaimer
We do our best to ensure that our photos are as true to color as possible. However, due to inconsistencies of various monitors, lighting sources, digital photography and dye lot variations, we cannot guarantee that the color you see on your screen accurately portrays the true color of the product. Screen images are intended as a guide only and should not be regarded as absolutely correct.

Hand block printing is a centuries-old art form that brings fabric to life with vibrant, detailed patterns. Each design is created by skilled artisans using hand-carved wooden blocks. The fabric is carefully mounted, and with each press of the block, rich color and intricate motifs are transferred onto cotton.
When multiple colors are used, the process is repeated with extraordinary precision—allowing the fabric to fully dry between layers. This slow, mindful craft takes patience, expertise, and artistry, resulting in textiles that are truly one-of-a-kind.
At Shop Pajama Mama, we celebrate this timeless tradition by showcasing hand-block prints that blend heritage with everyday comfort.
The word “pyjama” has its origin: pae jama which translated as garment for the legs and dates back to the Ottoman Empire of the 13th century. Pajamas were adopted by Europeans during the British India Colonial Rule and only in the households of nobility or the rich. It wasn’t until the 1800s that people of all classes began wearing them.
